Over the last few years, we have seen companies like OnePlus release phones that are affordable in price. Although, what always seemed to happen was that prices would get higher each time a new smartphone gets released on the market. It is a common trend that turns many affordable phone companies into ‘premium’ brands with phones costing near to £600-800. However, its understandable as phone companies need to keep up with competitors by providing top of the range specs hence causing this continuous price increase trend..
Fortunately, Xiaomi has resolved this by releasing a powerful phone at an affordable price. It has been all the craze recently with many news sources and reviewers covering the device due to how crazily good it is for the price, being almost as good as most flagship phones on the market now.
Luckily, due to Xiaomi’s success, they are one of the most popular mobile phone companies in terms of sales being behind the likes of Samsung, Apple and Huawei. In the years 2016 and 2017 Xiaomi almost double their sales, going from 15.8 million sales to 28.2 million in just one year.
From the figures above, it explains why Xiaomi is making this move as a way to rise to the top in the Smartphone market. It makes sense that they would want to create a device that is affordable, providing the latest power and specs without unreasonable sacrifices. The fact that they are almost at the top of the phone market is great for a phone company.
The Pocophone F1 has been one of the most popular topics in the mobile community over the past few weeks but what’s all the craze? Why is it so popular? Try imagining a phone with all the latest specs at less than £300. Now carry on reading to find out why!
Pocophone F1 Specs
The phone itself has some ridiculous specs when it comes to the device. It has the following specs:
- 6GB RAM
- 4000 mAh Battery.
- Snapdragon 845.
- 6.18 Inch Display (IPS Touchscreen) 16M colours.
- Gorilla Glass.
- Expandable Card Slot.
As you can already see, the Pocophone F1 has amazing specs, just for the £265 price tag. When compared to other phones in price like the OnePlus at £500+ you can see why people are excited about the Pocophone F1. It isn’t as premium as flagship phones but it still provides the necessary features like speed and battery power which other flagship devices have.
Hopefully the Pocophone will spark a new market for powerful yet affordable smartphones in the future. There is a lot other phone companies can learn from Xiaomi’s Pocophone, especially if they don’t want to lose customers to the Pocophone.
